Lassen Peak Secures Over $10 Million to Launch Handheld Radar for Concealed Weapon Detection

DEFENSE

Lassen Peak has completed debt and equity financings exceeding $10 million to fund the launch of the world's first fully integrated handheld radar system for concealed weapon detection. The financing was led by Structural Capital, a Menlo Park-based venture firm, and included contributions from existing shareholders and other investors such as AI Capital Partners and Axon Enterprises.

The product employs submillimeter-wave terahertz imaging radar technology, aiming to enable safer concealed-weapon detection for law enforcement, military, and private security, thereby reducing the risks associated with physical searches. The company has assembled a team with expertise in wireless technology, imaging radar, and artificial intelligence, supported by advisors from law enforcement and civil rights organizations.
