Lassen Peak Secures Patents for AirFrisk Handheld Concealed Weapon Detection System
Lassen Peak, Inc. has secured two U.S. patents for its AirFrisk handheld concealed weapon detection system, bringing its total issued patents to six. The technology, which operates at 304-311 GHz and utilizes a Radar System on Chip, enables non-invasive detection of concealed weapons without physical contact. Additionally, Lassen Peak received an FCC Spectrum Horizons experimental license for the 280-320 GHz range earlier this year to support the device's development.

Lassen Peak, Inc. has been awarded two U.S. patents for its AirFrisk handheld concealed weapon detection scanner, increasing its issued patents to six. Patent No. 12,332,342 protects the apparatus, while Patent No. 12,405,367 covers the method of use.
The AirFrisk operates at 304-311 GHz and features a Radar System on Chip with 24 receivers and 8 transmitters. The technology allows for non-invasive detection of concealed weapons without physical contact. Lassen Peak also received an FCC Spectrum Horizons experimental license for the 280-320 GHz range in early 2023, supporting the device's development and deployment.
