LAT Aerospace Acquires Defence Robotics Startup Sharang Shakti in Gurgaon
LAT Aerospace, founded by Deepinder Goyal and Surobhi Das, has acquired Sharang Shakti, a defence robotics startup in Gurugram. This acquisition aims to build indigenous defence capabilities while developing next-generation civil aviation platforms. Goyal emphasized the shared technology stack between civil aviation and defence, focusing on autonomy, perception, and navigation systems. LAT Aerospace is also working on a regional aviation network and developing Short Take-Off and Landing (STOL) aircraft.

LAT Aerospace has acquired Sharang Shakti, an early-stage defence robotics startup based in Gurugram. This marks the company's first step into the defence sector, aiming to build indigenous capabilities alongside developing next-generation civil aviation platforms.
Deepinder Goyal, co-founder of LAT Aerospace, highlighted the shared core technology between civil aviation and defence, focusing on autonomy, perception, sensing, navigation, guidance, and control systems. The integration of Sharang Shakti will allow LAT to develop these capabilities in-house for deployment across both sectors over time. LAT Aerospace, founded in June 2025, is also working on establishing a regional aviation network and has begun developing Short Take-Off and Landing (STOL) aircraft.
