Leapers Semiconductor Launches Yangzhou Plant for SiC Modules
Leapers Semiconductor has commenced construction on a new production facility in Yangzhou, with an initial investment of 180 million yuan. This factory will focus on automotive-grade silicon carbide modules and aims to produce 1.5 million power modules annually by 2027.

Wuxi Leapers Semiconductor Co., Ltd. has begun construction of a Yangzhou facility dedicated to automotive-grade silicon carbide (SiC) modules, supported by a recent funding round of 100 million yuan. The first phase includes an investment of 180 million yuan and aims for an annual capacity of 3 million IGBT/SiC modules, with two testing lines scheduled for completion by March 2027, enabling an output of 1.5 million modules.
The project will utilize over 100 sets of advanced equipment and implement a Manufacturing Execution System for enhanced automation and management. Leapers has developed over 300 product models, serving over 500 customers and exporting to 20 countries, with expectations of significant growth in overseas markets and new product launches quarterly. The strategic focus includes high-voltage applications and robust partnerships in the industry.
