Leonardo DRS Unveils Maritime C-UAS for Autonomous Vessels
Leonardo DRS has integrated its Maritime Mission Equipment Package on an autonomous unmanned surface vessel to counter aerial threats. This development enhances maritime security, enabling rapid threat detection and response capabilities in increasingly complex environments.

Leonardo DRS, Inc. has integrated its Maritime Mission Equipment Package (M-MEP) on an autonomous unmanned surface vessel (AUSV), enhancing counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) capabilities. This solution is designed for quick deployment across various maritime platforms to detect, track, identify, and defeat aerial threats.
The M-MEP features maritime radar, EO-IR sensors, and the SAGEcore software platform, consolidating detection and response functions into a modular system. The integration addresses challenges in counter-drone procurement timelines and operational readiness. The showcased system at the Navy League Sea-Air-Space Symposium represents a significant advancement in maritime defense strategies, particularly as aerial threats evolve and proliferate.
