LG Group Anticipates Record Financial Performance Amid AI and Robotics Expansion
LG Group's electronics subsidiaries are projected to achieve record revenues of 119.08 trillion won ($77.68 billion) and operating profits over 5 trillion won this year, reflecting a strategic portfolio overhaul. The company's shift towards high-value sectors, including AI and robotics, positions it for growth amid increasing demand for innovative technologies.

LG Electronics, LG Display, and LG Innotek expect a combined revenue of 119.08 trillion won this year, alongside an operating profit exceeding 5 trillion won. The first quarter of 2024 saw record revenue of 29.26 trillion won across these affiliates, with LG Electronics achieving 23.73 trillion won.
Chairman Koo Kwang-mo's restructuring efforts have led to exiting lower-margin businesses and focusing on vehicle components and OLED technologies. The group is advancing into physical AI and robotics, with significant developments planned in collaboration with NVIDIA.
Meetings scheduled in June aim to establish a cooperative model enhancing hardware and software integration. This partnership is positioned to capitalize on the growing physical AI market, which could yield substantial benefits in manufacturing and customer experience.
