Liberian Human Rights Defender Warns of Potential Invasion by Guinea
Stanley Quaye, a Liberian human rights defender in Canada, criticized the Liberian government's inaction regarding territorial encroachment by Guinea. He warned of a possible armed invasion by Guinean troops or jihadists from the Sahel region, stressing the need for urgent diplomatic engagement and enhanced national defense. Quaye emphasized that protecting national territory is a fundamental government responsibility and called for strengthening the Armed Forces of Liberia to safeguard sovereignty.
