The Ministry of National Defense in Liberia plans to launch the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) recruitment in February 2026, pending funding from the Ministry of Finance. The recruitment aims to enlist men and women aged 18-35 who meet specific qualifications, including a WAEC certificate and recent police and medical clearances.

Testing centers will be located across the country for accessibility. The Ministry is also working to reclaim Camp Ramrod Military Barracks to improve AFL personnel living conditions. This reclamation process is part of a broader strategy to enhance the military's infrastructure.
