Liberty County Development Authority Focuses on Industrial Growth and Infrastructure Upgrades
The Liberty County Development Authority (LCDA) is shifting its focus from warehouses to attract industry and manufacturers, with plans to expand MidCoast Regional Airport and develop Tradeport West. The initiative aims to enhance economic growth and infrastructure to support the influx of automotive, aerospace, and mixed-use developments.

The LCDA is advancing plans to expand MidCoast Regional Airport and has completed site preparations at Tradeport West to draw industrial investment. The Georgia Department of Economic Development has designated Tradeport West as 'shovel-ready,' facilitating quicker project initiation for developers.
LCDA CEO Brynn Grant emphasized the need for infrastructure upgrades to attract new industries and announced a public meeting regarding a proposed water reclamation facility in June. Financial audits have been completed, addressing previous delays in fiscal accountability. The LCDA is poised to meet growing demand from manufacturers, particularly in the aeronautics and defense sectors, while managing regulatory complexities with multiple agencies.
