LIG Nex1 and KAI Deploy AI Technologies for Enhanced Battlefield Decision-Making and Drone Operations
LIG Nex1 and Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) are enhancing military operations through the integration of AI technologies, with LIG Nex1 developing an AI command and control system to expedite emergency decision-making. KAI is also producing advanced multirole drones designed for collaboration with FA-50 fighter jets, aiming for full integration by 2027. This initiative underscores a growing trend towards AI sovereignty in defense, enabling countries to manage their own data effectively.

LIG Nex1 and Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) are advancing the integration of AI into military operations, with LIG Nex1 developing an AI-powered command and control system aimed at reducing decision-making time during emergencies. This system utilizes multiple AI models to analyze battlefield data in real time, enhancing operational responses.
Meanwhile, KAI is producing advanced multirole drones (AAP) designed for manned-unmanned teaming, with plans to complete 10 units. The AAP drones will be linked to the FA-50 fighter jets through AI-driven systems.
KAI aims to finalize this integration by 2027, with ongoing demonstrations of the AI pilot technology, Kailot, which has successfully navigated obstacles during test flights. The initiative reflects a broader trend towards AI sovereignty in defense, allowing countries to control their own data.
