Linde Reports $9.9 Billion Project Backlog Driven by New Contracts and Start-Ups
Linde's project backlog has reached $9.9 billion, boosted by new contracts and project launches in Q1. The company anticipates further growth, especially in the Americas and Asia-Pacific, driven by its focus on electronics and clean energy applications.

Linde's project backlog totals $9.9 billion, with $300 million attributed to 10 newly launched projects in Q1. The company secured five additional contracts, increasing the sale of gas backlog to $7.1 billion.
Future growth is anticipated as more projects come online, with management projecting a potential increase in backlog by year-end. The Americas represent approximately 70% of the backlog. Linde is also expanding its operations in Texas, including a new air separation unit and a second carbon dioxide liquefaction plant.
The Electronics segment has shown 10% growth, driven by investments in advanced chip production. Sector trends indicate similar backlog growth among competitors, particularly in semiconductor and AI-related projects.
