LIPTON Teas and Infusions Launches Solar Plant in UAE with Yellow Door Energy
LIPTON Teas and Infusions has commissioned a 580 kWp solar power plant at its Jebel Ali factory, expected to generate 958,000 kWh annually, covering 13% of its energy needs. This initiative supports LIPTON's net-zero emissions goal by 2040 and aligns with the UAE's Clean Energy Strategy for 2050.

The newly installed solar power plant at LIPTON's Jebel Ali factory in Dubai has a capacity of 580 kWp and will generate 958,000 kWh of clean energy in its first year. This output is projected to meet 13% of the facility's energy consumption, enabling the production of over 1 billion teabags annually.
The installation comprises nearly 1,000 solar panels and will reduce carbon emissions by 388,000 kg per year. This project is part of LIPTON's strategy to achieve net-zero emissions by 2040 and supports the UAE's Net Zero by 2050 objectives.
Yellow Door Energy managed the solar plant's development, offering a solar leasing model that reduces operational costs. The initiative reflects LIPTON's commitment to sustainability, having previously achieved Zero Waste to Landfill status in 2014 and receiving industry recognition.
