LiquidPiston Initiates Reg CF Round for $7M U.S. Army Funding via SBIR CATALYST
LiquidPiston has launched a Regulation Crowdfunding (Reg CF) round aiming to raise $5 million, enabling access to up to $10.5 million in matching funds. This funding will advance the development of their X-Engine™ and a portable 10 kW genset for the U.S. Army.

LiquidPiston's new Reg CF funding round aims to raise $5 million, which could unlock an additional $10.5 million in matching funds, comprising $3.5 million from a transition partner and $7 million from the SBIR CATALYST program. The company seeks to enhance its X-Engine™ technology and create a prototype for a mobile command-post Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) by the end of 2026.
LiquidPiston has previously secured $65 million in contracts with the Department of War and raised approximately $50 million through crowdfunding from nearly 20,000 investors. The strategic focus on developing efficient power solutions aligns with the U.S. Army's needs for advanced power systems in field operations.
