Lithuania Increases Defence Spending with U.S. Support Exceeding $2 Billion
Lithuania's Deputy Minister emphasized the country's record defence spending and its cooperation with the U.S., which has exceeded $2 billion in military purchases. This includes modern weaponry such as JLTVs, Black Hawk helicopters, AMRAAM missiles, Javelins, HIMARS, and Switchblade drones, contributing to NATO's Eastern security.

Lithuania's Deputy Minister highlighted the country's significant increase in defence spending, the establishment of a national division, and the expansion of host-nation support for U.S. troops. U.S. support for the Baltic states is recognized as mutually beneficial, with Lithuania's military purchases from the U.S. surpassing USD 2 billion. This includes advanced weaponry such as JLTV infantry fighting vehicles, Black Hawk helicopters, AMRAAM missiles, Javelin anti-tank systems, HIMARS rocket systems, and Switchblade drones, enhancing the modernization of Lithuania's Armed Forces and bolstering NATO's Eastern flank security.
