Government and manufacturing by Oshkosh Defense. The vehicles are intended for operational use, enhancing division-level capabilities and NATO interoperability. A portion of the fleet includes RBS70 NG short-range air defence system capability, aligning with Lithuania's focus on air defence.
Approximately 60% of the defence budget is allocated for modernization this year, indicating a long-term investment strategy. The JLTVs will support reconnaissance, fire support, and command operations.
