LNG Production Commences at Wheatstone and Cameron Projects in Australia
Australia's Wheatstone LNG Project and Cameron LNG Project have initiated LNG production, enhancing energy supply stability. These developments are critical as global demand for cleaner energy sources, particularly LNG, continues to rise due to population growth and climate initiatives.

The Wheatstone LNG Project in Western Australia began LNG production, processing natural gas from the Wheatstone and Iago fields. It has a capacity of 8.9 million tonnes per annum (MTPA), with PE Wheatstone Pty.
Ltd. holding an equity share for JERA under a long-term agreement. The inaugural LNG cargo is expected to ship shortly. Concurrently, the Cameron LNG Project commenced production on May 14, 2019, with a planned total capacity of 12 MTPA from three liquefaction trains. As global LNG demand rises, particularly from Japan, these projects are vital for ensuring long-term energy supply stability and diversifying sources.
