Lockheed Martin Delivers 350th MH-60R Seahawk Helicopter to US Navy
Lockheed Martin has delivered the 350th MH-60R 'Romeo' helicopter to the US Navy's HSM-41 squadron, highlighting the aircraft's importance in anti-submarine and surface warfare. Since its introduction, the MH-60R has logged over one million flight hours and is expected to remain operational until the 2050s. The delivery comes amid recent incidents involving lost helicopters, and the aircraft is also utilized by several allied nations, including Australia and India, which recently signed a substantial sustainment package for its fleet.

Lockheed Martin has delivered the 350th MH-60R 'Romeo' helicopter to the US Navy's HSM-41 squadron at its Owego, New York facility. The MH-60R, a multi-mission aircraft variant of the UH-60 Black Hawk, is crucial for anti-submarine warfare (ASW) and surface warfare.
Since its introduction in the mid-2000s, it has logged over one million flight hours and is expected to remain in service until the 2050s. The delivery follows a recent mishap involving a lost helicopter in the South China Sea.
The MH-60R has been utilized by several countries including Australia, India, and South Korea. Additionally, the Indian Ministry of Defense recently signed a $946 million sustainment package for its 24 helicopters. The aircraft features advanced digital sensors and network capabilities, enhancing its effectiveness in combat operations.
