Lockheed Martin Australia has increased its workforce for Black Hawk helicopter sustainment to over 200 employees, supporting the Australian Army's UH-60M fleet at multiple locations including Holsworthy, Brisbane, and Oakey. The team is responsible for the through-life sustainment of the fleet, which achieved initial operating capability in 2024 and now comprises 19 helicopters that have collectively surpassed 5,000 flying hours.
Job growth is projected, with opportunities for maintenance engineers, logisticians, and aviation specialists available. Continuous modernization of the Black Hawk platform by Sikorsky aims to enhance capabilities for Indo-Pacific operators.
