Lockheed Martin Secures $203M Contract for PAC-3 Missile Restoration for US Army

DEFENSE

Lockheed Martin has obtained a $202.8 million contract from the US Army to inspect, recertify, and repair Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) missiles, extending their service life. The work will be conducted at Lockheed's facility in Grand Prairie, Texas, and is set to last until June 30, 2028.

The contract includes funding from a Foreign Military Sales agreement for Taiwan, with $52.4 million allocated from fiscal 2022 funds at the time of the award. The Army Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, is overseeing the contract.

This effort focuses on restoring existing PAC-3 missiles rather than producing new ones. The PAC-3 is designed to counter tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and advanced aircraft using a hit-to-kill mechanism. This contract follows significant previous awards to Lockheed for PAC-3 interceptors, including a $9.8 billion contract in September 2025 for nearly 1,970 interceptors.
