Lockheed Martin Successfully Conducts 90° Vertical Launch of JAGM in California
Lockheed Martin conducted a successful 90-degree launch of a Joint-Air-to-Ground Missile (JAGM) from the JAGM Quad Launcher in China Lake, California, demonstrating JAGM's capability to neutralize UAS threats. The JQL launcher, mounted on a Richard Childress Racing 6×6 vehicle, validated JAGM's vertical-launch capability across multiple platforms.
Additionally, on 13 January, Lockheed Martin conducted a flight test of the NGSRI missile at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico, marking progress in its development for U.S. Army short-range air defense needs. The NGSRI is designed with an open systems architecture for modular upgrades and aims to counter various aerial threats.
