L&T and Exail Collaborate on Unmanned Mine Warfare Systems for Indian Navy
Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has partnered with France's Exail to develop an advanced Unmanned Mine Counter-Measure Suite for the Indian Navy. This collaboration aims to enhance India's maritime security and strengthen local defense manufacturing capabilities under government initiatives.

L&T will serve as the prime contractor for the Indian Navy's program to construct 12 Mine Counter Measure Vessels (MCMVs), offering an unmanned MCM suite. Exail will provide technology solutions, leveraging its proven mine warfare technologies already in use by multiple navies globally.
The suite will feature autonomous systems for mine detection and neutralization. This partnership aligns with India's Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India initiatives, focusing on local industrial collaboration and indigenous production. The collaboration is expected to bolster Indo-French defense ties and contribute to the development of next-generation maritime systems.
