Lufthansa Technik Defense to Finalize SIGINT Integration for Bombardier Global 6000 by 2026
Lufthansa Technik Defense is set to complete the integration of the Kalaetron Integral SIGINT system into Bombardier Global 6000 jets by the end of 2026, with deliveries to the German Armed Forces starting in 2027. This integration is part of the PEGASUS programme aimed at enhancing airborne surveillance capabilities.

Lufthansa Technik Defense will finalize the integration of Hensoldt's Kalaetron Integral SIGINT mission system into Bombardier Global 6000 aircraft by late 2026. The first of three aircraft is scheduled for delivery to the German Armed Forces in 2027, followed by the second six months later.
Hensoldt secured the contract in June 2021 to equip these jets with a SIGINT system, which includes over one tonne of sensor payload with COMINT and ELINT capabilities. The complex antenna system features over 50 elements, enabling simultaneous scanning of various frequency ranges, thus enhancing intelligence-gathering effectiveness. This project could significantly boost Germany's airborne surveillance capabilities and operational readiness.
