Lukoil Invests $1.6 Billion in H1 2005 for Oil Production and Refinery Projects
Lukoil allocated approximately $1.6 billion for investment projects in the first half of 2005, focusing on oil production and refineries. This significant investment represents almost 50% of the company's annual budget, emphasizing its commitment to expanding production capacity.

In the first half of 2005, Lukoil invested $1.4 billion in oil and natural gas production, representing 48% of its total investments. Additionally, $158.9 million was allocated to refineries. The company reported a stock increase of over 60 million metric tons of oil equivalent, matching the previous year's figures.
Lukoil aims to produce 90.2 million metric tons of oil in 2005, up from 86.3 million metric tons in 2004. These investments and production goals highlight Lukoil's strategic focus on enhancing operational capacity amidst market demands.
