LUMOS Robotics Launches Project EDGE with 100 NIX Robots for Global Collaboration
LUMOS Robotics is providing 100 NIX humanoid robots to selected partners worldwide as part of its Project EDGE initiative. This program aims to enhance research in embodied AI and human-robot interaction across various applications.

LUMOS Robotics has initiated the Project EDGE Co-Creation Program, offering 100 complimentary NIX humanoid robots to universities, robotics labs, and developers globally. This program includes open SDK access and technical support to facilitate experimentation in humanoid robotics.
The upgraded NIX features advanced motion capabilities, including acrobatic maneuvers and dynamic dance routines, underpinned by proprietary LUMOS P-60 joint modules. The collaboration aims to drive research beyond entertainment into real-world applications, leveraging the robot’s adaptability and motion control advancements. The initiative may influence the future trajectory of robotics development and interdisciplinary research, while potentially increasing competition in the humanoid sector.
