MagicLab announced a major management overhaul on March 6, restructuring its leadership to enhance R&D, data systems, and global commercialization as embodied AI transitions to scale. Zhang Tao is appointed head of embodied models and algorithm VP, while Wu Zhengfang becomes head of the embodied data platform.

Gao Chunchao leads the joint module division, and Li Kedi assumes charge of the developer ecosystem. The changes follow the departure of founder and CEO Wu Changzheng at the end of February. The new team, with backgrounds from Alibaba, Huawei, and academia, aims to bolster MagicLab's technological capabilities and market presence in robotics.
