MAHAPREIT Seeks Bids for 100 MW Floating Solar Project in Maharashtra
Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology (MAHAPREIT) is inviting bids for a 100 MW floating solar project at Tansa Dam and/or Modak Sagar Dam in Maharashtra, with submissions due by February 12, 2026. The project, which requires an earnest money deposit of ₹54.6 million and a tender fee of ₹29,500, aims to supply electricity for 25 years and includes responsibilities for engineering, financing, construction, and maintenance. Bidders must have prior experience with specific floating solar projects within the last seven financial years.

Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology (MAHAPREIT) has issued a request for selection to develop a 100 MW grid-connected floating solar project at Tansa Dam and/or Modak Sagar Dam in Maharashtra. Bids are due by February 12, 2026, and will be opened on February 16.
Bidders need an earnest money deposit of ₹54.6 million and a tender fee of ₹29,500. The successful bidder must provide a performance bank guarantee of ₹546 million. The project has a minimum capacity utilization factor of 25% and a ceiling tariff of ₹4.18/kWh.
It will supply electricity for 25 years to MAHAPREIT or the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. The scope includes engineering, financing, construction, operation, and maintenance of the project, along with evacuation infrastructure development. Bidders must have commissioned specific floating solar projects in the past seven financial years.
