Maharashtra Approves Development Projects for Nashik-Trimbakeshwar Kumbh Mela
The Maharashtra government, along with the Central Government and relevant authorities, has sanctioned several thousand crore rupees for development projects related to the upcoming Kumbh Mela in Nashik-Trimbakeshwar. Minister Girish Mahajan announced that infrastructure works are underway through the Kumbh Mela Development Authority.
Major projects include the development of 'Ramkal Path' to enhance Nashik's status as a spiritual tourism hub, and a proposed 65-kilometre ring road to facilitate urban growth and employment. The 'Green Nashik' initiative has seen over 15,000 trees planted.
Farmers are benefiting from various schemes including crop insurance and solar pump installations. The Indian Air Force's 'Suryakiran' aerial display aims to inspire youth to join the Armed Forces.
