Maharashtra Issues Tender for 25MW Floating Solar Projects with February Bidding Deadline

Interested parties must submit bids by February 13, with openings on February 16. Bidders need an earnest money deposit of INR 54.6 million (US$600,700) and a tender fee of INR 29,500 (US$325). The selected developer is required to provide a performance bank guarantee of INR 546 million (US$6.01 million).

The project has a minimum capacity utilization factor of 25% with a permissible variation of ±5%. Bidders must have commissioned at least 25MW of floating solar capacity in the past seven years, including either a single 10MW project at one site or a 15MW project on a single water body.

They must have five years of solar module manufacturing experience, commissioned 200MW of grid-connected solar capacity in India, and demonstrate 100MW of operations and maintenance experience. The project must use components from the government's Approved List of Models and Manufacturers and must be completed within 18 months of PPA execution.
