Major Leadership Reshuffle Announced in Kenya Defence Forces
President William Ruto has executed a significant reshuffle in the Kenya Defence Forces, affecting senior positions across the Army, Air Force, and Navy. Key appointments include Major General John Maiso Nkoimo as Deputy Commander of the Kenya Army and Brigadier Mohamud Salah Farah as Deputy Air Force Commander, with broader implications for military operations and strategic oversight.

In a comprehensive restructuring of the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF), President William Ruto has appointed Major General John Maiso Nkoimo as the new Deputy Commander of the Kenya Army, succeeding the retired Major General Mohamed Nur Hassan. Additionally, Brigadier Mohamud Salah Farah has been named Deputy Air Force Commander, enhancing leadership roles within the Air Force.
Significant promotions include Brigadier William Kamoiro to Major General and General Officer Commanding Central Command, and Brigadier Peter Kipketer Limo to Major General and Assistant Chief of Defence Forces for Personnel and Logistics. Other key promotions involve Colonel Mark Joseph Awala as Chief of Operations and Brigadier (Dr) Francis Njoroge Kuria as Director of Medical Services.
