Major Offshore Oil and Gas Pipeline Projects Set to Launch in 2026
In 2026, a total of 113 offshore oil and gas pipeline projects are set to launch, featuring lengths from 4km to 567km. Notable projects include Argentina's Vaca Muerta Sur pipeline, QatarEnergy's North Field East System, and Woodside Energy's Scarborough-Pluto pipeline, all aimed at enhancing oil and LNG production capacities globally. Additional significant pipelines will also be initiated in the US, Norway, and Malaysia.

In 2026, 113 offshore oil and gas pipelines are scheduled to commence, with lengths ranging from 4km to 567km. The Vaca Muerta Sur pipeline in Argentina will be 565km long, connecting oilfields in Vaca Muerta to an export facility, with operations expected to begin in 2026.
QatarEnergy's North Field East System will be 500km, increasing Qatar's LNG production capacity by about 50%. Woodside Energy's Scarborough-Pluto pipeline will transport LNG across 433km, with operations slated for late 2026.
Other notable pipelines include PetroVietnam's Block B-O Mon (433km) and Sarawak Shell's Rosmari-Marjoram (207km). The US will see projects like the Walker Ridge 52-Garden Banks 72 pipeline (169.39km) and Texas Gulflink's pipeline (92.21km). The Aasta Hansteen-Irpa pipeline in Norway will run 80km, while the Samalaju gas pipeline in Malaysia will be 70km long, both expected to commence in 2026.
