A major wildfire at the Artillery Shooting Range near 't Harde has led to widespread NL-Alerts across parts of Noord-Holland, Flevoland, Gelderland, and Utrecht. Smoke is detectable in Amsterdam, over 70 kilometers away, prompting warnings for residents to remain indoors and close ventilation systems.
The Ministry of Defense has deployed two Chinook helicopters for firefighting efforts, capable of dropping 7,600 liters of water per trip. A national coordination center has been established in Zeist due to multiple wildfires. With the region under heightened fire risk, the cause of the fire at 't Harde remains unknown, and authorities prioritize containment efforts.
