DEFENSE

Makam Plant Hire (MPH) pledged to complete the Axim Sea defense project within an 18-month timeline. Project Engineer Benjamin Amissah reported that the project is currently 45% complete after resuming work earlier this year following technical and financial delays.

The project aims to protect residents' properties and includes a 550-meter breakwater and eleven culverts to improve drainage and address flooding issues. The Western Regional Minister, Joseph Nelson, inspected the site and commended MPH for their progress, emphasizing government commitment to the project's timely completion.
