Malaysia is set to enhance its defense capabilities through a partnership with South Korea, focusing on advanced military technology sharing. The collaboration includes the transfer of aerospace, cybersecurity, and AI defense technologies, alongside the establishment of local maintenance capabilities.

Malaysia will receive four FA-50M light multirole fighter jets from South Korea in October, with Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) providing local Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) capabilities.
