Manipur CM Sets 2028 Completion Target for Jiribam-Tupul-Imphal Railway Project
Manipur's Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh announced a completion target of 2028 for the Jiribam-Tupul-Imphal railway project, emphasizing significant infrastructure developments under Prime Minister Modi's leadership. This includes the establishment of the National Sports University and a medical college in Churachandpur, which are pivotal for regional growth.

The Jiribam-Tupul-Imphal railway project in Manipur is slated for completion by 2028, as stated by Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh. The Chief Minister highlighted key initiatives benefiting the state, including the National Sports University, launched under Modi's leadership, and the establishment of a new medical college in Churachandpur.
Under Modi’s tenure, India has made significant advancements in various sectors, notably infrastructure and education. The Inner Line Permit system was implemented in December 2019, fulfilling a longstanding demand.
Additionally, the INS Imphal, a stealth guided missile destroyer, was commissioned into the Indian Navy. The ongoing construction of the Bir Tikendrajit International Airport’s new terminal is nearing completion. These developments reflect a strategic push towards enhanced connectivity and growth in Manipur.
