Mannesmann Group Supplies Pipes for Germany's Hydrogen Core Network Project
Mannesmann Grossrohr GmbH and Mannesmann Line Pipe GmbH will supply pipes for the hydrogen network between Wefensleben and Salzgitter, and between Angersdorf and Preußlitz, under contracts awarded by ONTRAS Gastransport GmbH. The project includes the FGL 702 pipeline, which supports the production of green steel. Delivery is set to begin in February 2027, with pipes measuring 813 mm and 610 mm in diameter.

Mannesmann Grossrohr GmbH and Mannesmann Line Pipe GmbH are supplying pipes for the hydrogen core network in Germany, specifically between Wefensleben and Salzgitter, and Angersdorf and Preußlitz. ONTRAS Gastransport GmbH has awarded the contracts to the Salzgitter Group.
The FGL 702 pipeline will facilitate the production of green steel. MGR will deliver pipes with a diameter of 813 mm, coated with a three-layer polyethylene and epoxy Flowcoat, while MLP will provide 610 mm pipes, also coated to reduce friction losses. Delivery of the pipes will start in February 2027.
