Marinvest Promotes LNG Production Project in Baie-Comeau During Quebec Mission
Marinvest Energy is promoting a mega LNG project in Baie-Comeau, Quebec, as part of a 'Quebec Canada mission' in Europe. The project involves a gas pipeline and an LNG production plant designed to export gas from Western Canada. Both Quebec and Canadian governments are open to the project but consider it too early for a definitive stance. Marinvest has not yet submitted a project proposal and is focusing on preliminary discussions with Indigenous communities and stakeholders.

Marinvest Energy is advancing a mega LNG project in Baie-Comeau, Quebec, characterized as an energy transition initiative. The project involves constructing a gas pipeline nearly 1,000 km long through boreal forest to an LNG plant for exporting gas extracted from Western Canada.
The Quebec and Canadian governments have expressed openness but maintain it's premature to take a position. Marinvest has not formally submitted the project and is prioritizing discussions with Indigenous communities and local stakeholders. The initiative includes lobbying and meetings, highlighted by a presentation at the Port of Rotterdam in November 2025.
