MCBH Commemorates 84th Klipper Memorial Ceremony Honoring Pearl Harbor Victims
Marine Corps Base Hawai'i (MCBH) hosted the 84th Klipper Memorial Ceremony on December 7, 2025, to honor the victims of the Pearl Harbor attack. The ceremony began with morning colors, where Marines raised the U.S. flag to half-staff in memory of the 18 U.S.
Sailors and two civilians who died during the attack. Col. Jeremy W.
Beaven, commanding officer of MCBH, acknowledged special guests and highlighted the bravery of U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer John Finn, the first Medal of Honor recipient of World War II. The ceremony included the reading of the names of 20 individuals memorialized, with a wreath laid by Beaven and Cmdr.
Jarrett Bibb. A 21-gun salute was conducted, marking the significance of the event. The ceremony gathered community members, service members, and families to ensure the memory of those lost in 1941 is preserved.
