Meitner Energy Introduces ACR-300: Argentina's First SMR Reactor
Argentina is advancing its nuclear capabilities with the ACR-300, a small modular reactor (SMR) designed to meet growing energy demands. This initiative, backed by the government's new investment framework, positions the country as a leader in nuclear technology amid rising global energy needs.

Meitner Energy has unveiled the ACR-300, a 300 MW small modular reactor, during the FIRST program in Buenos Aires. The project, developed in collaboration with INVAP and a U.S. investment group, aims to leverage Argentina's nuclear sector to provide scalable, clean energy solutions.
The ACR-300 features advanced technologies such as passive shutdown systems and air cooling, reducing installation costs and requirements. The Super RIGI initiative, aimed at attracting strategic investments, is integral to the long-term viability of nuclear projects, highlighting the need for regulatory stability. Argentina's experience in peaceful nuclear energy spans over 70 years, positioning it competitively within the global energy landscape.
