Mentawai Islands to Develop 5,000-Hectare Eco-Green Resort with Riyadh Group Indonesia
Kepulauan Mentawai is set to establish a 5,000-hectare eco-green resort in collaboration with Riyadh Group Indonesia. This initiative aims to enhance local tourism and attract global investors, establishing a model for future developments.

The Mentawai Islands government has signed a memorandum of understanding with Riyadh Group Indonesia (RGI) for a 5,000-hectare eco-tourism project. RGI will serve as the primary developer, overseeing investments and marketing efforts for the destination.
The resort will incorporate sustainable practices and attract international investors from Europe, the Middle East, China, Korea, and Japan. Plans include renewable energy facilities, data centers, and improved transportation infrastructure.
The local government aims to position the project as a National Strategic Project and ensure legal land guarantees for development. This initiative could significantly boost the region's economic growth and competitiveness.
