Merlinhawk Composites Forms JV with Vega Composites for Aerospace Manufacturing
Merlinhawk Aerospace and Vega Composites have established a joint venture for composite manufacturing in India, investing approximately ₹50 crore. This collaboration aims to enhance India's aerospace and defense capabilities, particularly in stealth technology and drones, addressing a significant gap in design and manufacturing within the sector.

Merlinhawk Aerospace has partnered with Italy's Vega Composites to form a joint venture named Merlinhawk Composites, focusing on advanced composites manufacturing at Shoolagiri, Tamil Nadu. The facility, with an investment of roughly ₹50 crore, is set to begin operations by the end of April.
This JV aims to develop composite design and manufacturing capabilities in India, which currently lacks sufficient design facilities. Merlinhawk is targeting opportunities in the stealth fighter aircraft sector, where composites are crucial for weight reduction and stealth features.
Additionally, the company is exploring drone manufacturing, especially for military applications, as demand from the Indian Army increases. The partnership with Vega is expected to bolster Indo-Italian technology collaboration.
