METLEN and Naval Group Sign MoU for Global Submarine and Frigate Projects
On March 19, 2026, METLEN and Naval Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Volos to explore collaboration on submarine and surface ship projects. This agreement enhances METLEN's role in Naval Group's supply chain, aiming for broader industrial cooperation across naval platforms. The partnership reflects strengthened Franco-Greek ties and aims to support European defense capabilities through Hellenic Industrial Participation, benefiting over 70 Greek companies.

METLEN and Naval Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding on March 19, 2026, at METLEN's facilities in Volos, Greece. The MoU aims to explore future collaboration in submarine and surface ship projects, enhancing METLEN's strategic position within Naval Group's supply chain.
The partnership builds on prior cooperation, particularly in the FDI frigate program, and seeks to strengthen the European defense ecosystem. METLEN is also developing a six-plant defense hub in Volos, supporting strategic autonomy and the integration of Greek companies into international defense programs.
