Mexican Army to Receive 24 Sikorsky UH-60M Black Hawk Helicopters
The Mexican Army has finalized the acquisition of 24 Sikorsky UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters for approximately $1.95 billion, enhancing its capabilities in counter-narcotics, disaster relief, and internal security. The U.S. State Department approved the sale under the foreign Military Sales program, which includes training and maintenance support, with deliveries scheduled from 2024 to 2026. These helicopters will improve operations in remote areas and strengthen coordination among security forces in the fight against drug trafficking and organized crime.

The Mexican Army (SEDENA) finalized the acquisition of 24 Sikorsky UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters in December 2023 for approximately $1.95 billion USD. The helicopters will enhance capabilities in counter-narcotics, disaster relief, and internal security.
The U.S. State Department approved the sale under the foreign Military Sales (FMS) program, which includes training and maintenance support.
