Mexico and ASU Sign MOU to Enhance Semiconductor Sector Cooperation
A memorandum of understanding signed by Mexico's Secretary of Economy and ASU President aims to strengthen North America's semiconductor industry through binational collaboration. This partnership is crucial for enhancing global competitiveness and fostering regional technological development.

Mexico's Secretary of Economy Marcelo Ebrard and Arizona State University President Michael M. Crow formalized an agreement to enhance cooperation in the semiconductor sector. This MOU establishes a framework for long-term collaboration, focusing on resource sharing to strengthen the semiconductor ecosystem in North America.
ASU has engaged over 30,000 learners in semiconductor-related courses and launched a Diversifying Semiconductor Supply Chain program with U.S. Department of State support. The partnership builds upon a previous MOU from 2022 and aims to identify specific projects to advance the semiconductor industry in both nations, highlighting the importance of collaboration for global competitiveness.
