Micross Launches Standard-Performance Nuclear Event Detector for Enhanced Radiation Protection
Micross has launched its Standard-Performance Nuclear Event Detector (NED), a radiation detection solution designed for mission-critical electronics. Manufactured in the USA, it offers improved sensitivity, response time, and efficiency for applications such as aircraft and defense systems. The NED integrates differential line drivers and receivers, enhancing performance while reducing size and weight. Full production of compliant versions is planned for later in 2026.

Micross has introduced the Standard-Performance Nuclear Event Detector (NED), enhancing radiation detection for critical electronics in applications like aircraft and defense platforms. Manufactured in the USA with ASIC from Jazz Semiconductor, the NED features 2× greater radiation dose-rate sensitivity and response times reduced by over 50%.
It integrates drivers and receivers on-chip, reducing system size and latency. The NED is available for evaluation, with full production of Extended Temperature Range and MIL-PRF-38534 compliant versions expected later in 2026.
