Minnesota Allocates $43 Million for Job Creation and Business Expansion
Minnesota's DEED has allocated nearly $43 million to create over 260 jobs and retain 2,890 positions across various sectors. This funding is aimed at significant expansions and partnerships in the state, leveraging $693 million in external investment.

The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) has awarded approximately $43 million to support the creation of over 260 jobs and retain more than 2,890 existing jobs. Boston Scientific (Maple Grove), Ecolab (Eagan), and Dem-Con HZI Bioenergy (Shakopee) each received $10 million for expansion projects, while Louisiana-Pacific will use its $10 million grant for a new manufacturing facility.
Additionally, the University of Minnesota is allocated nearly $3 million to establish a semiconductor tech center. The funding aims to stimulate economic growth and attract further investments, indicating a robust commitment to enhancing Minnesota's business environment.
