MiRESSO Raises ¥42.3 Billion in Series A Round for Fusion Power Beryllium Manufacturing
MiRESSO has closed its Series A funding round, raising ¥42.3 billion, co-led by Spiral Capital and SBI Investment. This brings total equity raised to ¥44.8 billion and total funding to ¥66.8 billion over three years. The funds will advance the construction of a beryllium pilot plant in Aomori, with production expected to begin in fiscal year 2027.

On February 27, MiRESSO announced it raised ¥42.3 billion in its Series A funding round, co-led by Spiral Capital and SBI Investment, with contributions from 12 investors. This round followed an initial close in August 2025 that raised ¥18.3 billion.
New investors in the final close included Keio Innovation Initiative and NTT Docomo Ventures. MiRESSO's low-temperature smelting technology for beryllium, developed in collaboration with QST, reduces energy costs and environmental impact. The Series A funds will support the construction of a beryllium manufacturing pilot plant in Aomori, with production expected in fiscal year 2027 and plans for a mass production system by the early 2030s.
