Mistral and UVision's HERO-90 Selected for US Army's LASSO Program

DEFENSE

Mistral Inc. and UVision Inc. have announced that their HERO-90 loitering munition has been selected by the US Army's Program Executive Office (PEO) Soldier for the Low Altitude Stalking and Strike Ordnance (LASSO) program. LASSO aims to equip Brigade Combat Teams with man-portable, precision anti-armor capabilities for quick engagement of armored threats.

The HERO-90, developed by UVision, offers extended-range and precision strikes, featuring a lightweight, portable launcher that enables deployment by a single operator in under two minutes. The system includes configurable warheads, man-in-the-loop control, and integrates with Common Control architectures. This selection follows Mistral and UVision's recent contracts with the US Army, including a $982 million contract for HERO 120 loitering munitions.
