Mitsubishi Corporation Advances Offshore Wind and Hydrogen Projects in Europe and Japan
Mitsubishi Corporation, through its subsidiary Eneco, is advancing offshore wind projects in Japan and the Netherlands while establishing a new venture for green hydrogen in Europe. These initiatives align with global decarbonization efforts and aim to enhance renewable energy capacity.

Mitsubishi Corporation (MC) announced the establishment of Eneco Diamond Hydrogen B.V. on June 6, 2023, targeting the green hydrogen market in Europe. This joint venture with N.V. Eneco aims to support decarbonization strategies amid increasing global hydrogen demand.
Additionally, MC and Eneco have secured the Hollandse Kust West Site VI offshore wind farm, with a 760 MW capacity, set to commence operations in 2026. This project will contribute approximately 3% to the Netherlands' electricity demand. MC's strategies emphasize sustainable growth through renewable energy initiatives, reflecting a commitment to environmental harmony in offshore developments.
