Moniepoint Invests ₦3 Billion in Innovation Hubs at Nigerian Universities
Moniepoint commits ₦3 billion to create three Innovation Hubs at Nigerian universities, aiming to train 500 developers annually. This initiative addresses the growing demand for tech talent and seeks to enhance local educational opportunities.

Moniepoint has announced a ₦3 billion investment to establish Innovation Hubs at Obafemi Awolowo University, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and Ahmadu Bello University within three years. Each hub will focus on practical training in software engineering, AI, robotics, and entrepreneurship, targeting students from all faculties to enhance the talent pipeline in Nigeria's tech sector.
This initiative builds on previous efforts like the HatchDev program at the University of Lagos and aims to mitigate the local shortage of skilled engineers. By decentralizing tech training, Moniepoint is setting a precedent for future investments in educational infrastructure, which could significantly impact Nigeria's digital economy by producing industry-ready professionals.
