Mubadala and Actis Invest $352 Million in Rezolv Energy for Renewable Projects in Europe

Mubadala Investment Company will invest €300 million ($352 million) in Rezolv Energy, partnering with Actis to enhance renewable energy initiatives in Europe. The investment aims to accelerate Rezolv's growth, positioning it as a significant renewable energy player in Central and Eastern Europe.

Rezolv Energy, established in 2022, has developed a portfolio of 2.3 gigawatts of wind and solar projects in Romania and Bulgaria. Currently, 750 megawatts of projects are under construction, with an additional 1.5 gigawatt pipeline, including Europe's largest solar project, Dama, in Romania. The International Energy Agency forecasts a doubling of global renewable power capacity by 2030, driven mainly by solar energy, despite challenges in grid integration and financing.
